With Fabi, Rafa, & Andres we had a groovy disco on campus Wednesday night. Set with couples Bachata, Mueve la Colita, and a dance train, we had a very fun time together. Even Domenico, one of the leaders, was breakin' it down on the dance floor! Ha! A night to remember!

Balboa Park, Little Italy, and Bonfires at the beach
Yesterday was a full and exciting day with a visit to the historic Balboa Park and Little Italy in Downtown, San Diego. At Balboa Park, the students enjoyed the botanical gardens and visiting museums like the San Diego Air and Space Museum and the Hall of Champions Sports Museum. A beautiful, preserved area with 39 museums, gorgeous Spanish style architecture, and lots of history, this was a great stop to round out our time in San Diego.
The next stop was Little Italy in Downtown San Diego. Although San Diego's Little Italy can't compare to the real thing, the students enjoyed walking the streets and seeing things that Italian Americans do in San Diego.
Finally, after the host family kids went to meet their families, the university went down to the beach where the had a bonfire full of smores and fun! Smores are and American treat that includes graham crackers, chocolate and a toasted marshmallow...YUM!

Fun in the Sun at Mission Beach-One of San Diego's Top Beaches
Fun in the Sun! What a gorgeous day at Mission Beach!! Students played American football, soccer, and volleyball as well as cruised around the very fun Belmont Park. Some of the students were even brave enough to test out the very cold ocean water! What a great day to enjoy one of San Diego's most famous beaches.

Viva Las Vegas!!!
It was hot, but it was fabulous!!!
After a long, hot afternoon of cruising the "Strip", visiting the water show at the Bellagio, the tigers of the MGM, riding rollercoasters at New York, New York, watching the gondoliers at the Venetian, and shopping at Hard Rock Cafe, we showed, ate, and hit the town with all our glitz & glam. Our night was spent watching the most popular show in Vegas: Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love. What a fantastic, breathtaking show that left us all dancing and singing "All you need is love..." What a special weekend we will always remember!
